Effective from January 1, 2025, a major transition has taken place regarding property transactions on Reem Island. The Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) has acquired jurisdiction over Reem Island, taking over responsibility for all property-related processes, including property ownership transfers. As announced, ADGM officially began handling property transfers at its Registration Authority Office, located on the 9th floor of Al Khatem Tower on Al Maryah Island, starting in January 2025.
Simplified Property Transfer Process under ADGM
All property transactions on Reem Island, including title deed transfers, are now directly managed by ADGM. The entire process, from submission to the issuance of the new title deed under the buyer’s name, is handled efficiently by ADGM without the need for external legal assistance.
ADGM has partnered with Dari by Aldar, a trusted and well-established property services platform recently launched in Abu Dhabi. Dari also collaborates with the Abu Dhabi Municipality and has an office at Aldar headquarters. Leveraging their expertise, Dari facilitates the smooth transfer of ownership from the current owner to the new buyer, ensuring a seamless and straightforward process.
Transaction Fees
The transaction fee for property transfers is 2%, which includes all fees associated with the Dari platform.
